The body of a 79-year-old man was found in the backyard of a house on Fehon Street on Sunday afternoon.

Victoria Police were called to the property about 2pm where they discovered the body and established a crime scene.

Police said while the circumstances surrounding the death were unknown, it was being treated as suspicious.
