Mudlarks bowlers Heath Lang and Shannon Reddie did the damage early for the visitors.
Lang reduced the Bulls to 4-15 early in the piece, before Reddie chimed in with the wickets of Mick McGough, 19, and Matt McKinnon, 0, to have the hosts reeling at 6-32.
Star all-rounder Oliver Young led the fightback for the Bulls, scoring a defiant 86.
Lang finished with 4-29 off 14 overs, while Reddie collected 3-35 off 8.1 overs.

The Blue Panthers were chasing 183 but could only manage 103.
But Jakobi struck three times as the Blue Panthers stumbled from 1-52 to 5-58.
Nick Hudson and Daniel Schaper combined for a 42-run sixth-wicket stand, but the Blue Panthers lost their last five wickets for five runs.
Schaper top-scored with 30, while Jakobi claimed incredible figures of 6-16 off 17 overs.
Jung Tigers comfortably accounted for Horsham Saints at Dimboola Road oval.
The Saints were rolled for 100 in their chase of 225.
Only Patrick Niehus, 35, and Tom Wentworth, 21, reached double figures for the visitors, with Dale Dridan, 3-0, and Jason Frost, 3-20, doing the damage for the Tigers.
The Tigers put the Saints back in, but Brad Sproule blazed an unbeaten 102 – including 12 fours and three sixes – as the visitors made their way to 3-176 off 31 overs.
In C Grade, Horsham Saints Red secured their fourth consecutive win to move into the top four at Laharum.
Jayden King, 56 not out, and Paul Ryan, 51 not out, helped the Saints post 9-198, before restricting Laharum to 8-136.
Horsham Saints Black thumped Jung Tigers by 139 runs at Taylors Lake.
Skipper Kingsley Dalgleish and Jayden Egan both scored half centuries as the Saints piled on 3-248 before dismissing the Tigers for 109.
Tigers’ skipper Barry Liersch was unbeaten on 53.
Colts enjoyed a comfortable six-wicket win against Quantong, Lubeck-Murtoa edged out Noradjuha-Toolondo in a low-scoring match by 23 runs, and Homers thrashed Natimuk by 123 runs.
