The Mountain Men were clinical with the ball, rolling the Tigers for just 83 before reaching 2-84 in reply inside 16 overs.
It was a complete turnaround from the week before, when the Mountain Men were bowled out for 74 and suffered a 10-wicket defeat.
The win puts the Mountain Men three points behind fourth-placed Homers.
All-rounder Josh Mahoney impressed for the hosts with bat and ball, picking up 2-4 off four overs before scoring 36 not out at the top of the order.
Mahoney said it was great to have a win heading into the mid-season break.
He said opening bowlers Riley Lenehan, 2-33 off 10 overs, and Mal Adams, 3-10 off six, were pivotal to the result.
‘‘Mal and Riley bowled really well – if you get early wickets it goes a long way,’’ he said.
‘‘We got a bit of momentum and kept riding it.’’
Laharum’s Ben Peucker returned from a thumb injury which saw him miss a month and a half of cricket, but was not required with the bat.
Only David Puls, 15, Dale Dridan, 15, and Ethan Hill, 13 not out, reached double figures for the Tigers.
The loss leaves the Tigers’ finals hopes hanging by a thread – they are now three wins outside the top four.
Tigers skipper Tyler Neville said it was a disappointing result.
‘‘We sort of went in thinking it was maybe an opportunity to get a win before the break, but the rest of it is history,’’ he said.
‘‘Saturday was probably a mix of some cracking deliveries and some poor shots.
‘‘They bowled well and we batted poorly.’’
Neville said the Tigers would stick to their plan to blood young players.
Horsham Saints enjoyed success against Homers for the first time in more than four years.
The Saints compiled 8-230 from their 45 overs, before dismissing the Pigeons for 203 in the penultimate over at Horsham City Oval.
Saints batsman Nick Duxson made the most of a number of missed chances to post 100 not out on the final ball of the innings.
Darcy Preston also scored an invaluable 39, while left-arm spinner Chris Hopper was the pick of the Pigeons’ attack with 2-19 off his 10 overs.
The Pigeons started strongly through openers Adam Atwood, 35, and Sandy Hodge, 40, but Atwood’s dismissal triggered the loss of 4-16.
Ash Hopper, 22, Justin Williams, 33, and Craig Britten, 34, put up a fight in the latter stages of the innings.
But Saints skipper Tony Caccaviello, 4-34, and Josh Carroll 2-34, helped seal a hard-earned win for their side.
Top team Rup-Minyip edged out fellow top-four side Noradjuha-Toolondo by five wickets at Minyip Oval.
Five wickets from Clinton Midgley helped the Blue Panthers roll the Bullants for 160.
Bullants skipper Matt Combe, 49 runs, top-scored for his side.
The hosts chased down the total with more than seven overs to spare.
Adam Carter and skipper Brent Hudson were unbeaten on 42 and 32 respectively, while Dan Clark also chipped in with 33.
Blue Panthers star Travis Hair fell five runs short of his 500th run for the season, scoring five before being dismissed by Bullant Wayne McDonald.
