The Wimmera Mail-Times birth notices for 2014 show Jack or Jackson was the most popular name for boys, with four bubs sharing the name.
It was closely followed by Charlie, Maxwell, Oliver, Darcy, Dominic or Dominik and Xavier.
The names were each given to three babies in 2014.
Oliver and Charlie have remained in vogue in the Wimmera the past few years.
Todd, Harvey, James and Mason were also popular.
For the girls, Edie – or the variation Eadie – and Indi – or Indigo – were at the top of the pack with four babies with each name.
Both were also among the most popular names for newborns in the Wimmera in 2013.
Matilda was the next most popular name for girls in 2014 with three, while Asher, Ava, Ella, Emily, Mia, Olivia and Sophie each had two babies with the name.
Among the most unique boy names of 2014 were Reginald, Hendrix, Macklin and Korbyn.
Boh, Letty and Sari each had one female bub with their name.
