For prep student Hannah Polack, it has been made all the more daunting.
Hannah, 5, broke both her arms when she fell off a playground in Port Fairy three weeks ago.
Hannah’s family has just moved to the Wimmera from Melbourne.
She will start at Holy Trinity Lutheran School on Friday.

She said she was excited to start school and had been learning letters with her dad.
Her father Matthew Polack is the school’s new grade five teacher, and information and communications technology co-ordinator.
His wife Kate is the new Horsham College chaplain.
Mr Polack said Hannah would have her cast on for at least one week at school but would still be able to do most things, including writing.
‘‘We were worried at first but the biggest challenge we have had is we have had to stop her from doing too much,’’ he said.
The Polacks now reside at Haven. They are no strangers to the area.
Mr Polack’s family is from Katyil and Mrs Polack’s family from Nhill.
‘‘We have got family here and with Hannah starting school we thought it was time to come home,’’ Mr Polack said.
‘‘We are looking forward to a new chapter in our lives and making new friends.
‘‘The family is really excited, it is a new start for all of us.’’
Hannah has a younger brother Jonty.
