VINTAGE tractors and old engines were a highlight of the 53rd annual Wimmera Machinery Field Days.
Back by popular demand was a vintage tractorcade each day of the event.
Dunmunkle Sump Oilers helped organise the tractorcade, and had a static display of old machinery.
Group president Graham Gellatly said they had 18 tractors that were involved in the display, along with many old engines.
"The tractorcades have gone well so far and lots of people were interested in having a look," he said.
"We do a lap around majority of the site's centre.
"We haven't ran over anyone yet, which is always good."
Mr Gellatly said children also liked seeing the old tractors.
"Old machinery is part of our history," he said.
"They don't make tractors like they used to though."
Mr Gellatly said the group enjoyed being at the field days.
"It's a good thing to do and there is lots of interest in it," he said.
"We come most years, but we only bring the tractors every second or third year.
"We have the engines here every year.
"I would like to see us bring more in the future."
Mr Gellatly said the site took a few days to set up, with members bringing tractors in earlier in the week.
"It takes a while, but we get there," he siad.
All the tractors at the site were owned by Dunmunkle Sump Oilers members.
Field days manager Murray Wilson said the tractorcade was last run in 2012 as part of the 50th anniversary field days celebration.
''The tractorcade returned due to popular demand and gave patrons an insight into the farming machinery of a bygone era,'' he said.
