The show is one of the biggest annual fundraisers for Wimmera Against Cancer in Kids.
Show spokesman Simon Clark said all proceeds would go to the cause.
"We started a long time ago because a local boy who was sick needed a little bit of a hand," he said.
"Then more families needed a hand and it grew and grew from there.
"It's a good way for car enthusiasts to show their support."
WACK provides support to families in the region in many ways including fuel vouchers, hampers and donations to Ronald McDonald House.
Mr Clark said the show and shine competition had gone from strength to strength.
"It's grown from our first event of 60 entrants to 195 last year," he said.
"This year we're hoping to crack 200."
He encouraged anyone to take their cars along.
"They don't have to be shiny - if you love it we want it," he said.
Mr Clark said the event was fully catered and there would be prizes and giveaways throughout the day.
Horsham Car and Bike Show is at May Park, Horsham, from 9am until 3pm.
Mr Clark said show and shine entries were $10. Spectator entry is by gold coin donation.
Show and shine entries are open until noon for judging.
Mr Clark encouraged people to come along to support a good cause.
"Anyone who has half an interest in anything automotive should come and enjoy the cream of the crop of motoring in the Wimmera," he said.
Mr Clark said people could call 0429 941 241 or visit www.horshamcarandbikeshow.com.au for more information.
