A man has died after being thrown from his car as it ploughed through a fence in Melbourne's south-east.

Police said the driver, believed to be aged in his 20s, lost control of the car on Meadow Road, about 100 metres east of Craig Road, in Cranbourne South, about 4.20am on Saturday.
The man, who was the only person in the car, died at the scene.
A second man was killed in a separate incident on the Hume Freeway in Wandong, north of Melbourne, about the same time.
A police spokeswoman said the man appeared to have been hit by a truck as he walked south on the freeway near the Wandong-Kilmore Road exit.
Neither man has been formally identified.
Meanwhile, police are still trying to identify a man who was hit and killed by a truck in Brooklyn on February 17.
The man, believed to be between 30 and 50 years old, was killed while crossing Geelong Road about 1.45am.
