Holy Trinity principal Jeff Gork said this was the sixth year a group from LSL and LCK Lutheran schools in Tun Meun, Hong Kong, had made the trip.
He said it was an educational and cultural experience for the pupils and teachers.
Mr Gork said the 16 pupils and five staff spent time in Melbourne, at the Great Ocean Road and in the Wimmera.
He said the group took part in a range of activities including surfing, gymnastics and golf and learnt about Aboriginal culture.
The group visited Sylvania Park to see mohair goats on Tuesday.
Mr Gork said while the Hong Kong pupils were in Horsham they took part in English and maths lessons.
He said pupils stayed with host families from Holy Trinity.
‘‘Family life is so different. They live in high-rise buildings on the 35th floor – what strikes them is the open space,’’ he said.
Thirteen pupils, three teachers and one parent from Holy Trinity will visit Tun Meun next term.
Mr Gork said the program allowed each group to experience the other’s cultures.
‘‘We want to show them it’s not better or worse, it’s just different,’’ he said.
Mr Gork said it was a great opportunity for students to improve their language skills.
