Mrs Craig has been involved with Horsham Calisthenics College for about 15 years, serving on the committee as treasurer.
Her three daughters
Elisabeth, Emily and Esther have also been involved in calisthenics, with Elisabeth now a qualified coach and Esther a member of the Victorian intermediate team.
Mrs Craig was presented with the award at Calisthenics Victoria’s Celebrating Calisthenics event in Melbourne on Saturday.
She said she was honoured and humbled to win.
‘‘I’m sure there are lots of people throughout calisthenics who do as much or more than I do,’’ she said.
Mrs Craig said she liked to give the college’s coaches a hand.
‘‘The main reason I do it is to free the coaches up so that they can concentrate on the important stuff, like teaching the girls,’’ she said.
‘‘I love how calisthenics has helped my daughters develop into confident young women.’’
College principal coach Kylie Hermans said Mrs Craig had been a great support to the club for many years.
‘‘Amanda is the type of person who will always say yes to any job, no matter how big or small,’’ she said.
‘‘She is a great person to have involved in our club and I am so proud of her for winning this award.’’
The club thanked Mrs Craig for her hard work.
