Secretary Judith Bysouth said good weather and quality exhibitors contributed to the event’s success.
‘‘Overall, it was a brilliant show,’’ she said.
‘‘I’ve been the secretary for 10 years and this was the best show we’ve had.’’
Mrs Bysouth said gate sales were down from last year but membership sales were up.
She said show entries in most categories were up, with the cooking section the only exception.
Mrs Bysouth said children enjoyed mini tractor rides and a sandpit treasure hunt.
The show had an army theme in recognition of the 100th anniversary of the landing at Gallipoli.
Mrs Bysouth said two army trucks, a tank and a motorbike were on display.
She said there were also family histories, badges and letters from the trenches on display.
‘‘It was a fabulous day,’’ she said.
