The students will enter the chain in the Woolworths Disney Pixar Never Ending Domino Chain competition.
Grade prep to three teacher James Loney said the school community and wider Halls Gap community had collected the dominoes for about a month.
‘‘A lot came from parents and also from the community,’’ he said.
The dominoes feature pictures of Disney Pixar characters as well as numbers, and were available at Woolworths stores.
Mr Loney said the student body – 22 pupils in total – took their collection of 1133 dominoes to Venus Baths in the Grampians on Monday to create the domino chain.
Mr Loney said the students set up the elaborate chain and knocked it over, filming the entire sequence.
The school has the chance to win a visit from Cars movie character Mack the Transporter and his cinema trailer.
Mr Loney said the project was incorporated into the pupils’ maths lessons.
He said the school’s next big project was to build a log cabin from large cardboard rolls.
