Club vice-president Shannon Morrow said the club previously gave small grants totalling $25,000 to community groups once a year.
This year, the club will allocate one large grant to a community group every three months.
Mr Morrow said the club would allocate $10,000 in the first quarter.
He said the club would then give $5000 each quarter after that.
‘‘This program enables us to give money back to the community,’’ he said.
Mr Morrow said the club raised the money through barbecues, monthly paper drives, and hosting the Longerenong B and S Ball.
‘‘The program has previously helped football and netball clubs in the region, Wimmera Base Hospital in Horsham, air ambulance services at the aerodrome and many more community groups,’’ he said.
Mr Morrow said groups with projects that would benefit and add value to the community could apply for the program.
He said people could email shannon@morrow.net.au for an application form and program guidelines.
Applications close on June19.
