The Whippets faced off against Hamilton Boomers and Hampden Hurricanes in a tri-series of shortened matches on Saturday.
The team finished the day with one win and one loss.
Each match ran for 15 minutes.
The Whippets outlasted Hamilton 1.0 (6) to 0.0 (0) in their first hit-out.
Glenn Castleman scored the only goal of the match to ensure the Wimmera side held on for the win.
The Whippets fell short in their second match against Hampden Hurricanes, going down 1.1 (7) to 1.5 (11).
The Hampden side was unbeaten and took home the trophy ahead of the Whippets, who finished second ahead of Hamilton Boomers.
It was a great opportunity for the side to play in front of a large crowd, with organisers praising the Hampden Football Netball League and the three teams for their efforts.
