Gallery co-ordinator Bev Hall said four of the gallery’s volunteers decided they wanted to do something creative, and picked the subject A Cup of Tea.
‘‘They then created all sorts of work pertaining to having a cuppa,’’ she said.
‘‘There are beautiful tea cosies – including some quirky ones – cards, embroidered cloths and oven mitts, hand towels and lots of different pieces.’’
The gallery also hosted a morning tea to thank its many volunteers yesterday.
Mrs Hall said the event included high tea, complete with fine china and silverware.
‘‘We had about 35 people come along,’’ she said.
‘‘All of our volunteers come in religiously every month and that means the gallery can open.
‘‘The work in the gallery comes from the studio upstairs and independent members.
‘‘We just want to promote arts in the Wimmera.’’
The A Cup of Tea exhibition is open until the end of June.
The gallery is open Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 5pm and Saturday from 10am to noon.
