Spokesman David Colbert said the club expected close to two fields for Sunday’s tournament.
Mr Colbert said the course was in near-perfect shape in the lead-up to the annual event.
‘‘The course is in immaculate condition,’’ he said.
‘‘The greens are probably the best for many miles.
‘‘We’ve had a lot of Horsham golfers play green fees here lately and they all love the greens.’’
Once Sunday’s event is in the books, attention will officially turn to the club’s annual tournament, which starts on Thursday and finishes on June 8.
Mr Colbert said game formats would change daily throughout the event.
Thursday will be a ladies stroke day, while players on Friday will take part in four-ball, best-ball par and ladies aggregate stableford ahead of the weekend’s play.
Saturday will allow both men and women to take part in four-ball best-ball stableford, while Sunday will be a mixed pinehurst and men’s stroke.
Monday’s final day will offer 36 holes for men and 18-hole stroke for ladies.
A number of Nhill businesses have jumped on board in support of the event, with the title sponsor named as Charter Kech Cramer, a Melbourne-based valuation firm.
