JEPARIT-RAINBOW will get its first look at the yardstick of the Horsham District Football Netball League when it takes on Laharum at Cameron Oval on Saturday.
The Storm is in its first season in the district league, and co-coach Chris Meyer said Laharum would be its toughest challenge yet.
‘‘They’re going to be a very tough side to beat,’’ he said.
‘‘Anything can happen on a footy field though, so we’ll go out there and give it a crack and see what happens.’’
The Storm will be boosted by the return of key forward Peter Weir from suspension, while Jayden Werner and Jake Perry are back from injuries.
Meyer said the team was nearing full strength for the first time this year.
He said the club’s three interleague representatives – Simon Clugston, Nathan Cocks and Tyler Edelsten – gained plenty from their experience at the weekend.
Laharum coach Shannon Argall, who coached the interleague side, said he was unsure if he would play after withdrawing from the interleague clash with a sore leg.
He said he would consult with a physiotherapist but described himself as a 50-50 chance to take the field on Saturday.
While Argall could miss, the inclusions of Hamish Roberts, shoulder injury, and Jack Shields, work commitments, will boost the side.
Riley Lenehan will also be recalled from the under-17s.
‘‘We’ll do what we do best and try to play our own style of contested footy,’’ Argall said.
