Horsham Rural City Council, Horsham People for Animal Welfare and Support and PETStock Horsham work together on the municipality’s animal rehousing program.
The project won the statewide LGPro Excellence Award in the community partnerships initiative category in February.
They were then nominated for the National Local Government Management Association Federation Awards.
The program won the association’s Community Partnerships and Collaboration Award at a ceremony in Darwin in May.
The organisations celebrated their success at a civic reception in Horsham.
