The air ambulance is on the scene on the Hamilton Highway at Wingeel after a van and utility crashed at 2.50pm on Thursday.

Police said the male passenger of the van died at the scene while the male driver has been airlifted to Melbourne with serious injuries.
The male driver of the Mitsubishi utility suffered critical injuries and will be airlifted to a hospital in Melbourne.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are enroute to the scene.
Wingeel is about an hour-and-a-half drive from Melbourne.
