The Warriors managed 14 goals in the first half while restricting the Eagles to just two.
Thomas said he was pleased with the early stages, but said his side needed to build a more consistent performance.
"Our first half was good, but we're still not playing four quarters of football," he said.
"We dropped away from our structures.
"But Dave Morris and Luke Hendy and Jesse Eckel were fantastic.
"It was the best I've seen those guys play to date."
Brenton Potter snagged a game-high six goals, as Jae McGrath and Scott Adams snared two-apiece for the Eagles.
Jarred Martin and Ben Spicer were the most highly rated Eagles, while Kyle George continued his season of good form.
