The ACT Brumbies flyer was due to join an Australian camp on the Sunshine Coast on Sunday, but will instead return to his country of birth.
He has been replaced in the squad by Western Force winger Nick Cummins.
Speight will return to the Wallabies squad when they return from their Rugby Championship Test against Argentina in Mendoza on July 26.
He was due to miss both that match and the one against South Africa in Brisbane a week earlier due to suspension, having been banned for five weeks for a lifting tackle on Cape Town Stormers captain Juan de Jongh in the Super Rugby qualifying final.
The Wallabies are holding a five-day camp with a 40-man squad in Caloundra to prepare for the Rugby Championship and Speight was one of 11 Brumbies initially selected in that squad.
