STRUCTURAL engineers will examine light towers at Dimboola Recreation Reserve after a tower collapsed in strong wind on Sunday.

Hindmarsh Shire Council chief executive Tony Doyle said council was working with the Dimboola Football Netball Club – which uses the ground – on the issue.
“The structure is of great concern. It was very lucky it happened overnight when there was no-one around,” he said.
“We will get an engineer in as soon as possible to find out why the tower collapsed.
“They will also do a safety assessment on the other three towers. I can’t see any impediment to making sure the tower is removed before the club’s next home game.”
Dimboola is scheduled to play Horsham Saints at the ground on August 22.
