THE Horsham Falcons under 15s side experienced just its second loss of the season, falling 5-3 at home to Ballarat team and ladder leaders North United Black.

North United Black started with the wind, scoring two goals before the 15-minute mark.
Noah Talbot fought back to score for Horsham from a long range effort.
At the break it was 2-1 and there was hope that the wind in the second half would be an advantage for the home team.
A large crowd had attended the Horsham game in a bid to spur the young team on.
But North United Black got the jump again, moving to leads of 3-1 and then 4-1 as the half progressed.
Horsham showed determination but could not break through until Noah Talbot scored again from a penalty kick.
The Ballarat team sealed the win soon after.
With minutes remaining, Horsham’s Reuben Macchia burst through the North United Black defence and took a shot which deflected off the goal keeper into the path of Catherine Beltz, who scored.
Best players for the Falcons were Mitch Moore, Noah Talbot, Reuben Macchia, Mitch Dumesney and Catherine Beltz.
The loss puts Horsham back in third place on goal difference behind Ballarat which thrashed North United White 22-0 on Sunday.
The Falcons play Ballarat away this Sunday, August 2.
The clash is a must-win for the Falcons as it could determine whether Horsham clinches a top two regular season finish.
The crunch match will be played at Dudley Cornell Oval number one with kick-off at 11.30am.
Under 17s
IN the under 17s the Falcons came up against fifth-placed Buningyong Red and went down 17-1.
With the help of the under 15s players, including some who had never played under 17s before, the Falcons fielded a full side and put up a courageous fight against a more fancied side.
The lone goal scorer was Bobo Oo Shwe Ta Lee who capitalised on an error from the Buningyong Red goal keeper.
Best players were Nathan Sonnberger, Mitch Moore, Rachael Werner and Marcus Lucciani.
Horsham takes on Buninyong Black in a bottom-of-the-table clash at Federation University this Sunday. Kick-off is 12.30pm.
Seniors
THE Falcons senior division three players forfeited their game this week.
The sixth-placed Falcons take on top-of-the-table Daylesford at Victoria Park in Daylesford this Sunday. Kick-off is at 2pm.
