Edenhope Sergeant Dale McIvor said the South Australian man was caught driving 135 kilometres an hour on the Wimmera Highway on Wednesday.
The man received a $493 fine on the spot and his licence was suspended in Victoria for one month.
Sgt McIvor said the incident was a timely reminder for motorists to slow down.
“The roads here are not as good as the Western Highway, particularly in wet conditions, so people need to take care and slow down,” he said.
“Police members are out and about on patrol and if you get caught speeding you will face the consequences.”
