Work on the service’s new acute wing means the main entrance will close from August 3 to September 14.
Rural Northwest Health chief executive Catherine Morley said the closure was unavoidable.
She said visitors to Yarriambiack Lodge would need to enter via the Landt Building main entrance on the east side of the campus and park in the car park adjacent to the Noall Street entrance.
“The inconvenience is regrettable but there is simply no way around it while builders are working in that area,” she said.
“Our first priority is the safety of all, so we just have to walk that little bit further for a few weeks.
“We don’t want anyone to stop visiting during this time, so if anyone is concerned about the change, please phone the campus and we can help you to arrange your visit.”
Ms Morley said there would be no change to visiting rights at Yarriambiack Lodge during the transitional period.
Temporary signs will direct visitors entering via Noall Street.
Ms Morley said acute and community health services would not be affected.
Work on the campus’s new acute and aged care wing started in June, after the eastern section of the campus opened.
The eastern wing includes five new aged care beds.
Yarriambiack Lodge’s Banksia wing residents – whose previous base is being developed for the acute and urgent care wing – were move into the new eastern section.
Renovations have also been completed on the former Landt building, which houses the day respite program, education room and board room.
The redevelopment will also include a new community health wing and medical clinic.
Ms Morley said work on stage two remained on track to be completed by the end of the year.
