It's shaping up to be a beautiful day... to stay inside. The weather bureau has forecast a top of 12 degrees for Melbourne, and expects it will be cloudy all day, with a very high chance of rain this morning and a shower or two in the afternoon.
And it's blustery too, with north to northwesterly winds of 30 to 45km/h, which will turn into west to southwesterly winds of 20 to 30 km/h and then ease off in the afternoon.
It was fairly mild overnight, with a low of 10.5 degrees in the city at midnight and it was 11 degrees at 6.30am. Although the bureau says it felt more like 6 degrees because of wind chill.
