Crack Special Operations Group police have arrested a man who now faces charges over a seven-week armed robbery spree across Melbourne that targeted businesses, staff or patrons.

Terence James Green is alleged to have used a sawn-off shotgun during the offences that also included attempted armed robberies before his arrest on Sunday.
Melbourne Magistrates Court heard on Tuesday that Green, 37, is accused of robbing or attempting to rob bottle shops, Chinese restaurants, newsagencies, a day spa and post offices.
The targets were in the eastern suburbs and included Malvern, Ashwood, Balwyn, Vermont and Notting Hill.
Green appeared in court behind a security glass screen when his lawyer Carrie O'Shea asked that deputy chief magistrate Jelena Popovic note that her client had had suicidal thoughts and because of his "history" in the custody centre requested a transfer as soon as possible.
In remanding Green, who did not apply for bail, in custody, Ms Popovic noted that the lead investigator, detective senior constable Evan Billinge, of the Box Hill Embona task force, format CCTV footage, request a DNA forensic report and collate exhibits for the police brief.
Green was ordered to appear in October.
