District 17 operations officer Trevor Ebbels said the fire started at the Iris Street garage just before 5pm Tuesday.
He said three Horsham Fire Brigade crews and Horsham police attended the scene.
Mr Ebbels said it took about 40 minutes to get the blaze under control.
He said there were no injuries.

EMERGENCY services are at the scene of a small fire in Horsham’s Iris Street.
Three Country Fire Authority vehicles were called to the scene shortly before 5pm on Tuesday.
Police also attended.
A garage was on fire behind a home.
The fire is now under control.
Investigations into the fire will continue.
