College student Olivia Hobbs said the students had organised the drive as part of their community project.
“When one people gives blood, it saves three lives,” she said.
“We have got 10 people to give blood, which will save 30 lives.”
Olivia said the students had convinced 10 teachers to donate blood in the school holidays.
“We gave a presentation to staff about the importance of giving blood and asked them to sign up,” she said.
Olivia said it was an important project.
“One in three people will need a blood transfusion in their lifetime, but only one in 10 people give blood,” she said.
Olivia said the students hoped to encourage more people to donate blood.
She said the students decided to get the teachers involved as they were not old enough to give blood themselves.
