The Saints beat Donald in a tough finals-like slog at the back-end of the North Central Football League season and have used the past two weeks to maintain match fitness while allowing their list to rest up.
Club selector Alistair Egan said the club had used its bye in finals to have a light run on Saturday to ensure it does not enter its match with the Navy Blues flat.
“We had a pretty solid week on the track last Tuesday and Thursday and then had a run-around on Saturday morning,” he said.
“It was a fairly solid week to keep ourselves up and about with the match fitness side of things.”
Egan expects the Saints to have a full list to pick from with the exception of a handful of players who are carrying minor injuries.
“There is some doubt over a couple of players,” he said.
Egan expected Thursday night’s training session to give the selection staff a better idea of who was in line to play on Saturday.
“We’ve had some very good battles with Charlton over the past few years and we’re going to have to play four quarters of good footy to beat them,” he said.
“That’s our focus against a very strong and experienced side. They’ve put together a really strong list."
