The final score saw the Kees 18.10 (118) defeat the Roos 6.9 (45).
The Roos offered no resistance and were simply unable to find any avenues to goal as they were smashed around the contests by their bigger bodied opponents.
Kees’ coach Steve Schultz was best on ground and led the way with his ferocious attack on the footy.
He was well supported by captain Zavier Hobbs who burrowed through packs to win the ball.
But to put the win down to the contested ball would do a disservice to the Kees runners who kept at it all day to set-up numerous scoring opportunities.
From half back Ben Harrison broke the lines and was creative in his ball use while Matt McGee also was outstanding at full back before he finished on the bench as a precautionary measure ahead of the grand final.
Despite many people thinking the Kees would be too slow to go deep into finals they ran out the game without a bench in the last quarter.
After a tight first term it seemed the Roos were prepared to go head-to-head with the Kees.
Eric Guthrie was everywhere and he kicked the first goal after he roved the ball off the ruck tap in the forward pocket.
The Roos’ second came from another small, this time Will Plush pushing forward to find enough time and space to kick a goal.
But this was perhaps a sign of things to come as they struggled to find a tall target.
The Kees backline worked hard to help their teammates and make sure every marking contest was covered by more than one player.
At the other end meanwhile, Josh Beddison continued his brilliant finals form with two goals before Schultz added one before the first break to give his side a quarter time lead.
So far the Roos had matched the Kees for pace but this would change as they struggled to get easy possessions for the next three quarters.
By the time they kicked their next goal, at the start of the last term, the Kees had kicked 12 of their own to finish the game early in the third quarter.
To their credit, the Roos mounted a final quarter charge but still the Kees came and they kept their 12-goal margin intact.
The Roos key player makers in Callum Hobbs and Jandre Slabbert received close attention from the Kees and were swamped every time they went near the ball.
Hobbs was forced from the field with a nasty head gash in the first term while Slabbert took a number of hits from his opponents.
Guthrie was another player who found himself under intense pressure throughout the game and he was also sent from the field under the blood rule in the second half.
The Kees were able to play the game on their terms for the entire afternoon and it paid off.
Despite four players finishing on the bench coach Steve Schultz said it was mostly “precautionary” and all the players would be right for the grand final.
The only question mark will be over Beddison who had looked in ominous form early in the game before he came off with what appeared to be hamstring tightness.
He briefly returned to the field before once again coming off early in the third quarter to sit out the rest of the game.
Schultz said the star forward would be assessed during the week.
In the reserves Kalkee made it a double with a win against Noradjuha-Quantong. They will now play the Harrow-Balmoral reserves in the grand final.
