The Rats have not lost a game in their campaign and come up against a Horsham side that finished fourth in 2015.
The Demons still managed to make the grand final, scraping past Stawell in Sunday’s preliminary final by just one point.
Horsham’s coach Matt Glare said the Demons’ form was ideal heading into the weekend.
“They’re excited. They enjoyed the first and second final and then just got over the line in the third,” he said.
Glare said despite the ladder discrepancy, the competition was tight.
“It was fairly close all year, with four or five sides up the top. We started playing well at the end,” he said.
“We’ve got to perform well.”
Rats coach Mick Driscoll said success would come for Ararat if it could execute its plan to perfection.
“If the boys play to the best of their ability they will no doubt be leaving Warracknabeal with a premiership,” he said.
