The two teams met in the second semi-final with the Warriors outlasting the Rats by two points to progress straight to the big dance.
Ararat responded well from the loss, beating Horsham Saints in the preliminary final to book another crack at the Warriors.
Warriors coach Kelli Cosson said the girls had a great season and were wonderful to coach.
“They are a fantastic bunch of girls and they’ve had a terrific season,” she said.
Whatever happens, I am extremely proud of each and every one of the girls and how they have conducted themselves as netballers.
- Kelly Cosson, Stawell coach
“Their willingness to learn and dedication to each other and the team has been truly inspiring.”
Cosson said Stawell deserved to bring home the premiership flag.
“I’m extremely proud of each and every one of them and how they’ve conducted themselves,” she said.
