The annual weekend attracted 23 vintage vans from throughout the state.
However, the event was bitter sweet for one woman, who made the trek from Frankston to the rally.
Pam Reeve and eight of her friends visited the Wimmera in honour of her husband Rob, who died in June from brain cancer.
“We had gone to the rally for the first time last year and it was something my husband really enjoyed as he is into classic cars and caravans,” she said.
“He was quite sick last year, but we still made the trip.
“Unfortunately he wasn’t with us to make the trip this year, so my friends came with me and we took his ashes.”
Mrs Reeve said it was an emotional weekend.
“It was a lot of fun too,” she said. “It is great to get together with other like-minded people that enjoy the same sort of things.
“It was a lovely weekend.”
Mrs Reeve said her husband would have been glad she went.
“He wanted to take all of our friends back there and make it a big event, but he was never able to do that,” she said.
Old Dadswell Town’s Jenny Green said there were about 50 to 60 people at the event.
“We had quite a few people come and stay in the cabins as well,” she said.
“It’s a free weekend for people to come along and camp in the paddock.
“This is the third time we have hosted the rally and everyone seems to have a good time.”
Mrs Green said vans ranged from 1940s to 1970s.
“Some are original and some are restored,” she said.
