The authority deemed Horsham Town Hall’s fundraising committee’s plan to have 400 people dance the Nutbush next month suitable for a record attempt.
The committee had to submit footage of rehearsals – which started last month – to Guinness officials.
Spokesman Mark Radford said to successfully set a record, the committee needed at least 400 people dancing to the song.
“There are a few different versions around of the dance, so it is important to be doing the right moves to get the tick from our contact Chris in London,” he said.
The attempt will be at Horsham City Oval on November 29. The next dance rehearsal is on October 11.
