Referrals can be made by health professionals, family or friends, or people can refer themselves for advocacy support.
Assistance can be provided in the areas of accommodation, education, employment, discrimination or finances, or any other area in a person’s life that is creating a barrier.
GdA is holding its annual general meeting on Monday, October 12 at the Ararat Performing Arts Centre foyer from 2pm to 4pm.
The AGM will include a panel of guest speakers from the MS Society, Parkinson’s Victoria and the Financial and Consumer Rights Council.
The topic for the discussion is 'Where to turn when you acquire a disability'.
