Emergency services were called to Wollongong Motorcycle Club’s Mount Kembla Motocross Complex, on Harry Graham Drive at Kembla Heights, about 11.45am.
NSW Ambulance Inspector Norm Rees said the 55-year-old man was navigating a jump and came off his dirt bike as he landed.
“He’s come down heavily on his left side,” Inspector Rees said.
“He’s got a fractured left arm [and] multiple abrasions.”
The man was treated using spinal precautions and airlifted by the NSW Ambulance rescue helicopter to St George Hospital.
