The Saints responded strongly on day-one, taking a 15-run advantage into day two after a blistering opening partnership had them at 0-65 after their first session.
The Renegades needed at least 16 runs to give themselves a chance, but added just two more to its day-one total to finish all out for 52 and 13 runs in arrears of the Saints, who claimed a first innings triumph in the round-three under-16.5 clash.
Saint Jack Butler – who had bowling figures of 4-6 after day one – added another two wickets to his tally to end the match on 6-6.
Butler dismissed all of his victims by rattling the stumps, with his heroics including a double-wicket maiden in his second over.
Brayden Gebert took 2-6 from three overs, and also managed a double-wicket maiden.
Despite the early finish, Horsham Saints resumed its first innings, adding to its total of 65 to finish the afternoon on 4-155.
Openers Corey Smith and Mitch Martin both finished just shy of a half-century.
They each made 47 to set up a strong total.
Darcy Edgerton was the pick of the Renegade batting line-up, scoring 25 on a down match for his team.
In the round’s other clash, Blackheath-Dimboola resumed its first innings at 1-86, but could not capture its magic day-one form, eventually being bowled out for 132.
Thanks to an impressive 59 from opener Sam Polack and cameo 27 from Daniel Polack, a respectable score was able to be reached.
The Tigers waltzed onto the pitch needing 52 runs to claim the victory, and did so with three wickets to spare, eventually finishing at 7-159 after its 45 overs.
A handy 50 from opener Sam Leith and helpful 30 from tail-ender Josh Leith led the Tigers to victory.
Blackheath-Dimboola’s Noah Campbell took 3-17 from five overs but it was not enough to dismiss Jung before the victory target was reached.
West Wimmera had a third-round bye, and will play Jung Tigers next week.
