Jeffcott sits second on the ladder, but Birchip is clinging to fourth, hoping it can distance itself from fifth-placed Hopetoun.
Top side Donald – which is tied on points with Jeffcott – takes on Hopetoun on Saturday, and a win would see it remain in at least the top two on the ladder at round’s end.
Wycheproof-Narraport has a great chance to jump a handful of spots into the finals mix with a win against the struggling Marnoo side.
Marnoo has won just one match from its five encounters this season, and must take the points on Saturday to make up ground.
Brim-Kellelac-Sheep Hills, St Mary’s and St Arnaud all have the bye in round seven.
