A man and a teenage boy performed a citizen's arrest, thwarting a burglary in a Geelong suburb.

The man, 37, disturbed another man in his garage in Ernest Street, Bell Post Hill, just after 11.20pm on Friday.
The man chased the intruder down the street. With the help of a neighbour, a teenage boy, aged 15, the pair detained and restrained the intruder in nearby Liston Street.
When police arrived they charged the detained man, 32, of Bell Post Hill, with aggravated burglary with a weapon, possessing an imitation firearm and other weapons offences
He is expected to face an out-of-sessions court hearing on Saturday morning.
