Matt Downer led the way with a stunning century, scoring 134.
Despite some top-order hiccups, the Blue Panthers were well served by their middle order men, as Gavin Young, 56, and Rodney Weidermann, 28, chimed in to keep the scoreboard ticking over.
Five wickets to Sam Rintoule disrupted Rup-Minyip’s innings at times and prevented the score from swelling even further.
Jung Tigers made 163 in its first innings on Saturday, with Horsham Saints 2-48 in reply after eight overs.
David Laffy scored 48 for the Tigers, and Horsham Saints opener Nick Duxson is unbeaten on 36 going into day two.
In the third B Grade match at the weekend, some quality bowling by Drew Carmody helped Colts dismiss Bullants for 106.
Carmody amassed figures of 4-16 and is currently unbeaten on eight as the Colts chase down a victory target of 107.
At stumps on day one, Colts are 2-28 after 19 overs.
Bullants’ John Heard bowled well for his first three overs, finishing with 1-1.
C Grade
Horsham Saints Red needed just 23 overs to reach the victory target of 146 set by Lubeck-Murtoa in Saturday’s one-day clash.
Jayden King finished unbeaten on 53 for the Saints while Todd O’Connor also made a half-century, but retired on 51.
Quantong held off Laharum in its match on Saturday, making 3-135 before its opposition made 9-101 from its 40 overs.
Jai Smith took 2-5 for Quantong and Nick Caris 2-10 as Laharum struggled to put enough runs on the board.
Blackheath-Dimboola made light work of Jung Tigers on Saturday, bowling them out for 83 before easily reaching the target of 84 for the loss of just two wickets.
Nathan Schorback was unbeaten on 43 for Blackheath-Dimboola.
In the final C Grade fixture, Horsham Saints Black batted first and posted 9-176, but Colts were dismissed for 97 as the Saints saluted an easy win.
