Street artist Guido van Helten has started painting a 30m by 30m scene on decommissioned grain silos.
Brim Active Community Group’s Shane Wardle said the community was excited with the progress.
“Social media is going berserk and the amount of people who have seen is has gone way beyond our expectations,” he said.
Van Helten has finished painting a man on the first silo and has started on a second figure.
“They are all based on Wimmera people,” Mr Wardle said.
He said the display should be finished by the end of the year. “Guido is still tossing up whether he will work through Christmas or go back to Brisbane and see his family,” he said.
Van Helten started the artwork last week.
He continued painting at the weekend, despite the heat, only taking time off on Saturday when the wind picked up.
