Director Debbie Boutcher said cast and crew received standing ovations on opening night and in their second performance on Saturday.
The show at the new Horsham Town Hall theatre features songs from the 34 musicals the council has performed in the past 50 years.
“One of our lighting guys Keith Bradshaw has travelled from Melbourne to be part of the show. He was part of the arts council when he was younger,” Ms Boutcher said.
“This is the first time we've been able to have special lighting effects, which makes everyone see what new venue is capable of.”
Ms Boutcher said the was a huge buzz from the first performance, and the cast and crew had only got better in the second show.
“We got a few bugs ironed out in Saturday night’s show,” she said.
“The people who saw the performance on Friday night would have thought it was great, but Saturday night was nearly flawless.
“I was very happy.”
Ms Boutcher said there was a wealth of talent on display.
“You can see the future of the arts council is pretty secure due to the children we have coming through,” she said.
The cast performed a matinee show on Sunday ahead of the final two shows on Thursday and Saturday.
Current and former arts council members will gather for a reunion after Saturday’s performance.
