The victory pits the Saints against Homers in the Horsham association one-day final on March 6.
The Mountain Men won the toss and sent the Saints in on the Coughlin Park pitch.
It may have proved to be a fatal error as a number of batsmen tore Laharum’s attack apart, despite only making moderate scores, to put the Saints at 6-223.
Justtin Combe, 40, and Gary Davidson 49 got the chase off to a good start at the top of the order.
But the loss of four top order batsmen for few runs left the Saints in a precarious position.
Although he was not economical, Damien Bunworth’s 2-46 dismissed Simon McKinnon and Ben Sawyer to give the Mountain Men some hope.
But number eight batsmen Tony Caccaviello took control in the final overs, smashing a half-century that included two sixes, bringing the 50th run up on the last ball of the innings.
Laharum’s run chase never really got going as they were unable to remain at the crease long enough to build partnerships.
Opener Ben Peucker remained steady but around him wickets fell regularly.
He made 29 but when Saints skipper Tony Caccaviello dismissed him there was little further resistance.
Heath MacInnes, 25 and Matthew Farr, 28, made a late cameo but the game was well and truly over.
For the Saints Josh Colbert and Patrick Niehus both finished with 3-23 as they took the bulk of the wickets.
Laharum captain Daniel Griffiths said his side had never really been able to get off to a good start with the bat. “We are usually a bit better in the one-day format so we are a bit disappointed with the run chase,” he said.
“We couldn’t get off to a start – other than Ben we really struggled except for the blokes lower down the order.”
Griffiths also said Caccaviello’s 50 had made a huge difference and given his team a tough score to chase. The Mountain Men will now turn their focus to the remaining two-day games.
