High winds in July saw one of the reserve’s light towers fall onto the playing surface during the night.
Works have begun in the past week to prepare the towers for the upcoming football season.
Dimboola president Col Campbell said he had been informed that the towers would be back in action for the second week in March.
“They picked them up on Thursday and they’re hoping to have them up before daylight savings finishes,” he said.
“We’re looking at a practice match against Jeparit-Rainbow on the 12th of March, so we’ll need them for that.”
Metal fatigue was cited as the cause for the tower’s demise in July, with changes to be made to the structural integrity to bring them into line with modern standards.
“The one that fell has to be straightened and another one has to be strengthened as well,” Mr Campbell said.
“They all have bigger bases to meet today’s standards.”
The Roos president said the lights will be placed further away from the oval to allow for greater access for fans.
“They’re going to move them up the hill and a bit further away from the ground to give some more room to spectators,” he said.
“They’ll be the same set-up but will have new lamps.
“All of them have got bigger bases now and all have to have six-metre concrete pile-ons under the ground to make them stronger.”
The club will need the lights for training purposes once daylight savings ends.
