On day one of its round nine West Wimmera Cricket Association clash, Winiam made 7-241 to place it on the front foot.
A brilliant score of 118 by Brad Clark proved the cornerstone to the dominant innings, and Jeparit will need to produce at least one Clark-like number to have a chance of chasing down the total.
Jeparit’s bowlers found the going tough on day one, and Winiam will need to perform better with ball in hand – especially early – if it is to defend its total.
While bowlers managed to bowl tight spells on day one, taking wickets proved an issue, with Brad Keller’s 2-40 the pick of the figures.
- Match result – Monday.
