The Royal Flying Doctor Service Victoria and Rural Health Workforce Australia will offer four scholarships worth $2500 each for first-year university students.
The Give Them Wings program is open to students in Victorian regional and rural communities.
The groups will award two nursing scholarships and two allied health scholarships this year.
Royal Flying Doctor Service Victorian chief executive Scott Chapman said the program would help improve health outcomes in Victoria.
Workforce chief executive Greg Mundy encouraged students to apply for the grants.
“A contribution like this can make a big difference to a young person leaving a small town to attend university,” he said.
Mr Mundy said people could visit www.rhwa.org.au/GiveThemWings for more information or to apply.
Applications close on March 31.
