Committee member Les Power said the event was a tremendous night with about 200 people in attendance.
All proceeds will go to the Wimmera Base Hospital emergency department in Horsham.
Foundation money has gone to several important assets in the emergency department, including a resuscitation room.
The work is done in the name of George Howell, a Melbourne police member who died on the job.
Const Howell had relatives in Horsham.
Mr Power said it was good to have one of the first events in the re-vamped Horsham Town Hall.
“We always had that sense of ownership about it and the good part is we haven’t lost that feeling,” he said
“I’d like to thank all the people and all the businesses out there who gave for our auctions and raffles.
“They helped make our ball a success and helped with our donation to the emergency department.
“That’s what Blue Ribbon is all about.”
