However, this was not his first time.
The Horsham 2016 event was Mr Grayling’s 514th relay.
Mr Grayling was diagnosed with testicular lymphoma in 1980 when he was 22.
He is now cancer-free.
Mr Grayling has been running at various Relay For Life events since 1999.
“My passion has been running at these events,” he said.
He has run at every Horsham and Districts Relay For Life.
“I’m here to encourage and motivate people,” he said.
“But this is also part of my healing process.”
Mr Grayling praised the Wimmera community on its efforts.
“It’s an overwhelming impression on society, the community and for finding a cure,” he said.
“Horsham is one of my favourite places and your community is very very strong.”
