The tournament saw the Nunawading Spectres contest the shield against the Ballarat Miners and Mt Gambier Pioneers.
The Pioneers were strong during their two games on Saturday, winning both to be in prime position to win the shield.
Despite the winning streak the Spectres turned things around in the final game on Sunday to defeat the Pioneers and take home the shield on points difference.
It is the third-straight shield win for the Spectres.
The Graham Adams Shield provides the competing teams with much needed match practice ahead of the 2016 south east league season.
Former Horsham Amateur Basketball Association president Dean Lakin it had been a successful weekend.
“For the teams involved, they have enjoyed it and there has been some good basketball played,” he said.
“It is pretty simple, you just have to keep the teams happy and that is the key to the weekend probably.
“All these teams are pretty easy to get along with and really helpful.
Lakin said the association would be looking for a fourth team to join the tournament in 2016.
The 2016 tournament featured former Horsham resident Ash Constable who played for the Miners.
Former Spectre Shane McDonald was unable to attend.
